Pros & Cons
- The Byway Road has good performance for both asphalt and gravel roads thanks to its smooth tread and higher side knobs.
- The Byway Road TCS is tubeless compatible, allowing you to ride with lower tyre pressure for more comfort.
- Thanks to the volume of the tyre, it moulds itself better to the unevenness of the ground and you experience lower rolling resistance.
- These tyres are less suitable for the more rugged trails due to their flat tread.

Description
Description
Furthermore, the Byway is very versatile. By simply adjusting the tyre pressure, the tyre performs optimally both on gravel tracks and on the road, hence the Byway Road is perfect for the adventurous cyclist who doesn't want to be stopped when the asphalt stops.
Technology
TCSTCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is a technology from WTB designed to ensure the optimal tubeless experience and compatibility with rims according to ETRTO size. Thanks to the aramid bead, this technology ensures that when combined with WTB's compounds, not only are rolling resistance and grip improved, but also the weight is lower than the competition.
Weight:
• 47-584: 535 grams
• 40-622: 463 grams
The weight quoted is the manufacturer's weight and may differ from the actual weight when weighed at home. This deviation is usually small and is due to the production process.
Assembly
We recommend mounting these tyres with Schwalbe Doc Blue latex sealant or Effetto Mariposa Végétalex. A minimum of 60 ml latex sealant per tyre is recommended. The tyres should be ridden in on a small lap immediately after mounting so that the latex can be evenly distributed throughout the tyre. If these instructions are ignored, a good seal of the tyre cannot be guaranteed.Reviews

Top tyre for gravel biker using gravel bike in winter as alternative to road bike.
Top tyre for how I use gravel bike as an alternative to road bike from October-March mostly on road, gravel paths and forest trails.

Satisfied with the product. Fits my needs
Product that delivers what it promises, good performance on dry soil and asphalt, although it slips a lot on loose gravel, especially in curves.

Nice tyre, but with inner tube.
Poorly tubeless. Returned tyre once, turned out to be poor manufacturing indeed. New tyre deflates again, possibly the same batch, but I will ride with inner tube again.

Very fine gravel tyre for dry and wet conditions
Very nice tyre. I use the gravel bike a lot for hard surfaces (gravel, forest and asphalt), so I was looking for a tyre that runs a bit smoother on these surfaces. First had the WTB Riddlers, also fine tyres but a bit more rolling resistance on the road. Now done a few rides with the Byways and am bowled over. Grip is good, can fast through dirt corners and even in wet conditions plenty of grip. Really in mud, the tyre falls short. For that you will really need more tread anyway, or a mtb :). In short. Very good tyre and extremely suitable for gravel trails!
